| Shoot Out and Kidnapped wanted by punters |
TAB Sportsbet punters have singled out Kidnapped and Shoot Out as the horses to beat in Saturday’s Group I Turnpoint Randwick Guineas (1600m).
When betting started on the three-year-old Group I event on Wednesday, Shoot Out was installed as a $4.40 favourite and Kidnapped a $14 chance but punters were quick to snap up those odds.
Shoot Out firmed into $4 while Kidnapped is now quoted at $10.
“Shoot Out was the first horse backed with us and the support has continued at the $4,” TAB Sportsbet’s Glenn Munsie said. “The punters have singled Kidnapped out as the horse Shoot Out has to beat.
“He’s had solid support and is the best backed runner to beat the favourite.”
Munsie also said the Tim Martin-trained Monton has been popular despite his price drifting from $14 to $15. “He got out to $15 off the back of Shoot Out’s support but he’s had solid backing since then,” Munsie said. “He’s still at $15 but there’s not much left.”
