skystarsearch.com.au up until February 14.
“Sky Racing has been thrilled with the calibre of entries,” Sky Racing chief operating officer Brendan Parnell said.
“The Sky Star Search final 6 is a talented group from diverse backgrounds.
“Early voting has been close and it’s going to be a gripping run home.”
The finalists are.
Ritu Boyd (Leichhardt, NSW – investment banker) -
“The passion for racing has certainly entered our home and so many Australian homes because of the wonderfully opinionated and entertaining qualities of Sky Racing’s presenters, but gents, I think it’s time you shared the camera with the girls.”
Clint Donovan (Kelvin Grove, Queensland - racehorse auctioneer) -
“It’s a day on the punt at the TAB with your mates. It’s leading your first winner back to scale…It involves so many people on so many levels. It’s thoroughbred racing and it’s what I love.”
Shane Holland (Bowral, NSW – bowling centre manager) -
“It doesn’t matter if you’re racing at Ballina or Bong Bong, Riccarton or Randwick, whether you’re rich or poor. We’re all talking the same language when those gates open.”
Samuel Hyland (Berwick, Victoria - former jockey) -
“All in all, I can talk the racing talk. I can tell you my tales, share my form and share my passion. I’m a diehard racing fan and to stay that way is my plan.”
Sam Lyons (Alexandra Headlands, Queensland – comic) -
“I remember as a 17 or 18 year old sitting next to my best mate watching Sky Channel, as we did a lot of, and thinking ‘that is where it’s at’.”
Brooke Sexton (Randwick, NSW – Clerk-of-the-course; trackwork rider for Anthony Cummings) -
“To be able to talk about the sport that I love, in the environment that I love and a place that I want to be at every single day - I couldn’t think of anything better.”
